Runcorn Linnets Trust Board has accepted the resignation from the board of Dave Jones.

Dave served as club chairman from January 2021 until February this year, when he stepped down from the role due to health issues.

Tendering his resignation from the board, Dave said: "It has been an honour to be a member of the Trust Board and to be chairman for a year but I need some time to concentrate on myself and getting myself better."

Linnets chairman Pete Cartledge said: "We understand and appreciate that this has been and remains a difficult time for Dave.

"While thanking him for his commitment and achievements as chairman and a Trust Board member, we will continue to offer Dave all possible support in the hope that he will soon be back to good health."
